The good news is that there are a number of useful methods that can help with calming emotion, reducing distress, and preventing unintended consequences of negative emotions.

Dr. Dan Guy is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 29 years of providing quality mental health services in a variety of settings. Dr. Guy is skilled in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, which helps individuals recognize the connection between their thoughts and behaviors, and helps clients develop skills that they can use throughout their life to deal with issues of depression, anxiety, mood swings, relational problems, and issues of self-doubt and self-value.
